JetBlue Triple Point Promotion
JetBlue just announced an awesome promotion to earn triple points on all of their flights in the month of June. Here are the details:
- Register here by May 25
- Fly between June 1 and June 30
- New bookings only – if you already have travel booked before registering then you’re out of luck.
TrueBlue Points Earning and Redemption
The base earning rate is 3 points per dollar for a base fare without Mosaic (JetBlue elite status) The fine print says that you’ll earn triple TrueBlue points only on the base points so you’ll earn 9 points per dollar, plus the bonus points as describe below for booking on jetblue.com
The redemption rate is ~1.4 cents per point. I chose a random date for a flight from JFK to Boston. It would be $72 or 4300 points which is about 1.6 cents per point. This triple points promotion would earn points and free flights quite quickly.
Airlines rarely have triple or even double points/miles earnings opportunities on all of their flights. It is more common to see such a promotion for select or new destinations. You should sign up even if you’re not planing anything, since this promotion requires registration by May 25.
